When the website is Ready, the Advertisers will come!
Posted on October 2, 2007 in the Aaron's Posts, Manifesting category
My primary, long-term goal is to have complete time and financial freedom. In other words, I want to have enough time to do whatever I want to do, and enough money to enjoy doing it.
The vehicle that I have chosen in order to attain that goal is to make money on the Internet in such a fashion that I am helping other people, yet also setting up residual income for myself. Even a high paying job is still a job, and if you have to be there 40 or more hours per week, then you may have money, but you won't have time.
In order to make money on the Internet by producing good content, I have 2 primary revenue streams:
- My membership-based website Personal Development Partners
- Advertising revenue that comes in as a result of the traffic that goes to all of my websites
I have been continually focusing on increasing the residual income that is produced by my websites, and twice in the same day that focus paid off with the discovery of new advertisers, both of whom offer products that are sought after by my audience, yet who also offer a good return on my time investment for running their ads on my websites.
The first new advertiser is called Widget Bucks, and I can't say how happy I am to have attracted the knowledge of this company!
Widget Bucks offers an incredibly unique Pay Per Click (PPC) advertising option that no other PPC company has even come close to - not even Google. The major difference between Widget Bucks and other companies is that they offer very unique advertising banners that actually scroll product offers, rather than just being static text or graphical links.
Most PPC companies will give you a static text link or graphical ad banner, and when someone sees it, they will either click on it, or they won't. Widget Bucks, on the other hand, allows the website publisher to choose a category of products, and then the advertising banner repeatedly scrolls new graphical and text ads for products that are related to that category.
In addition, they have an algorithm that can scan the page where the ad is placed and offer up advertisements based upon the content of that page, meaning that the ads will always be relevant and useful to whoever is viewing that page.
That is a win/win situation for the web surfers as well as the website owners, because the ads can help the web surfer to find what they are looking for, and the website owner gets a PPC payment as a result of offering up that ad.
Also, Widget Bucks ads are very attractive and professional, and they come with a large level of customization options and ad sizes so that the advertisements can be easily and professionally integrated within the web page.
I highly recommend Widget Bucks to any website owner. Even if your site does not match any of the present Widget Bucks categories, you can always choose the "media" option and then choose "books". Doing so will scroll a changing number of advertisements for books that are related to whatever text is on the page that the ad is placed on.
The other new advertiser that I recently attracted is called Spoken Word Audio, and they also offer a very unique system for displaying relevant advertisements to website visitors.
Their products are audio books, which are another big hit with my audience, and the advertisements for those audio books are packed with a lot of information, which helps to entice the viewer of the ad to click on the link. The ads include a small graphical representation of the audio book, the title, a description of the book, and a constantly displayed cost savings that the ad viewer will get when they buy the audio book.
By listing the standard retail price of any given audio book, but then also listing the discounted price that is offered by Spoken Word Audio, there is an immediate visual benefit to anyone who views the ad. Many advertisements require you to click the ad and go to the web page to find out the price of the product.
Spoken Word Audio also offers a lot of customization options for the advertisements, including the ability to send the user to a certain category of audio books, to a specific audio book title, or simply to the front page of their website.
Both of these new advertisers offer the ability to receive advertising payments via PayPal, rather than via a check that is sent through the postal system. That has numerous benefits, not the least of which being that PayPal payments are significantly faster than payments made by check.
Overall, I am ecstatic to have manifested both of these new advertisers for my websites, and in each case I did nothing to find out about them. The knowledge came to me completely unexpectedly, and with no effort on my part.
In fact, the announcement for Widget Bucks was made on a website that I normally frequent, but that I haven't been to in weeks! Even without doing the things that I normally do, I attracted the information about two new advertisers that fill all of the following requirements:
- Appropriate products/services for my audience
- Customizable and flexible advertising banners/links
- Payments made via PayPal
Specific to Widget Bucks, they also offer 100% original PPC advertising, never before seen in the industry to my knowledge, yet something that I definitely needed for my websites.
Also, at the time of this writing, Widget Bucks was offering a $25 sign up bonus for new publishers, so be sure to get over there and check it out!

Alan,
That’s awesome - I’m sure you’ll love it as much as I do! It’s very cool stuff. Let me know if you have any questions with the implementation and I’ll be glad to help you out. I played around with it for over an hour this morning, so I got to know my way around the interface pretty well.
