The Blue Feather

Posted on September 28, 2007 in the Mike's Posts, Manifesting category

It has been a few weeks now since we set out to manifest a blue feather.  I had a very specific image in my mind: a blue feather with a slight hint of green at the top.  I was walking around and keeping an eye out for an outlandish costume that might have a dyed feather or 2 on it, or maybe even a sign on a wall that had one.

What I got instead was a blue feather in digital format.  I was talking to my coworker whose desk is across the room when I noticed that her photoshop program was starting up.  Now, I know that photoshop CS has a feather symbol that is full of funky colors and I get how that is no manifestation miracle, considering the fact that I use photoshop almost everyday at work.  But first of all, while I was talking to her, her program was opening up in the background.  And second of all, her version (on a Mac) had a feather symbol that was only blue with a hint of green, much like the one below:

After seeing the feather, I made a point to note it and go about my regular business.  But then I began to think about it:  does a digital feather count as a real one?  I decided to accept the fact that I manifested a blue feather and thank the universe for that, but then specify that I want to see an actual, real life blue feather.

A week later I get into the office before any of my other coworkers.  As part of my morning ritual, I go to my manager’s desk to turn on the air conditioning, but this time I noticed a feather on her desk.  It was a dull white color with gray toward the end, but it had the exact look that the feather in my head had.  It was pretty strange to see a dirty feather sitting on someone’s desk considering the fact that it has never happened before.  So I choose to take this as sign that the universe is preparing me for the actual, physical blue feather that is in my head.  Either that or the gods are doing a pretty good job pranking me.
