Successfully Manifesting A Rental Car

I'm going to a friend's wedding in a few days. I have to rent a car. Before I even looked into cost I said I want to pay $150. Period. I looked up prices and average cost was $250! And that was 3 days ago (prices tend to go up the closer you get to the leave date). I didn't let it get to me though because I told the universe what I wanted and was holding by it.
I got an e-mail from a friend today in the travel industry and best she could do was $259 with her discount. Without it was $462. When I got it e-mail I started to get concerned because I know the closer you get to a date the higher the price. However I should have known better.
I did a search on enterprise-rent-a-car just now and it popped up with a price of (drum roll please)….
