Specifying the new job
Posted on January 30, 2008 in the Mike's Posts, Manifesting, Goals category
I was ready to write a post about something new that I wanted to manifest. I want to have a week off that would be not a relaxing recreational vacation, but a week to start off this year in a positive, productive direction.
But as we noticed around October, trying to manifest 2 things at once does not work out very well. So instead, what I'm doing is sepecifying the way I'm going to get a new job and the steps that will take place in between:
I will be in contact with my future employer by Friday.
I will interview/meet about the new job next week.
I will be completely honest about my goals and intentions with this job position (meaning, it is a stepping stone in my career and a way for me to put my all into it while getting valuable experience).
My future employer will be impressed by this and will hire me.at the salary rate I request.
I give my notice at my current job.
Here's where things get a bit fuzzy-
At this point I want a week in between my old job and my new job to have time to jumpstart my life in the following ways:
1) Get back into a good workout schedule
2) Organize my finances and create a working system
3) Read 3 books that are productive for my future
4) Put real time into implementing my business ideas
5) Create a schedule that balances all the aspect of my life.
I realize that I'm being very specific here. In the past, creating a trail for how things can go has worked out for me. But I'm not sure I would consider that manifesting.
I am going to be objective with my observations on whether or not this is working. It will be amazing if this works out the way I planned, but even if it doesn't, there is still a lot for me to learn about how the process failed.
