The 3 Alchemists

Real People ~ Real Manifestations

My next manifestation

In my last post I intended to have a guest bartending gig lined up.  Done.  I reached out to several bars and I heard back from one and submitted more information to get confimed.  I am schedule to guest bartend on Thursday, December 6th.

For those of you who don't know, guest bartending is when a bar allows you to come in and act as a bartender in their establishment.  You get to keep a percentage of the tips that the bar makes as a form of payment.  And if they like you or the way you bartend, you can get hired.  It's a good way to bypass having legitemate experience or a bartending school background.
So what's the catch?  Well, the bar lets you bartend at their establishment with the assumption that you will bring in a large number of guests.  So they let you work at their bar in exchange for you bringing in the customers.  While this bar did not provide a specific number of guests needed, other bars had more rigid guidelines.
So now that I have the guest bartending gig setup, I intend for 20 of my friends to come and spend time at the bar during my shift.  This week I will be sending an Evite to anyone I know in the New York City area to see who can come.  If figure that 25% of the people invited will actually show up, so I will invite around 80 people.

UPDATE: I did the guest bartending gig and it was a great experience.  I had lots of help from the full time bartender and I had 16 friends show up to have a good time.  Everyone kept me busy by buying a ton of drinks (which I made extra strong) and the bar owner was pleased with the people I brought in.  If I could change anything I would have followed up more with people who were unsure if they could attend and I would have focused on manifesting a specific monetary amount for working the night.  I expected to bring in about $20 more than what I actually received.  You live, you learn.
