How to Manifest a House on the Coast!

Posted on September 24, 2007 in the Aaron's Posts, Manifesting, Law of Attraction category

Knowing how to Manifest is like being a Genie, only you aren't stuck with just giving yourself 3 wishes!

I have been working towards a goal of finding a place to live that is near the east coast of Florida for several months now, and I am happy to report that I have succeeded in doing so! In order for you to understand the significance of this, however, you will need some background on my situation.

There are plenty of places at or near the coast that one can move into if the proper resources are in place. By "resources" I'm talking about things like:

I had none of those in any significant amount when I started this manifestation process! The reason why I was even looking for a place near the coast to begin with is because back in early July of this year (2007), my wife and I decided to get a divorce. Now, as tragic as that sounds, it isn't all gloom and doom. We are still friends, and the dissolution of our marriage is actually an agreed upon course of action in order to maintain our friendship.

However, it also put me in quite a bind. My wife and I had decided about a year ago that I would work from home in order to grow my blogging business and other Internet-related ventures until those ventures got to the point where they were bringing in enough money to cover our monthly expenses. Once that goal had been attained, she would quit her full-time job and also start working from home in order to grow her direct sales business ventures.

Well, after a year of blogging, the business is finally starting to bring in consistent money, but it is not enough to take the place of a full-time income. In addition, since we lived in a fairly cramped neighborhood as far as parking, and since my car was costing us extra money in insurance every month, we decided to just sell the car. I didn't need it to build my blogging business, and we used the money to help offset our monthly expenses.

Make sure that you are following along here:

That describes the situation that was in place back in July when we decided to get divorced. Now, let's reassess:

Have you ever tried to find a place to live when you have very little money saved up, no way to get a job because you don't know where you are going to live, and no way to save up the money to get a place to live because you don't have a job?

OUCH!

Now, as I said, her and I were (and still are) friends, so we did agree that we would stay in the same house for the short-term until I could somehow come up with a way out of my predicament. However, it was also agreed that - for a lot of good reasons - the arrangement needed to be highly temporary.

Ordinarily, that would be a hard enough situation on its own, but we have one more variable to take into consideration:

I had been visualizing living at the beach for months, and I had a strong belief in the Law of Attraction. I flatly refused to "give up" and just take a cheap apartment somewhere inland where the real estate is significantly cheaper than it is near the coast, thus giving up on my dreams due to our divorce.

That's like adding insult to injury, isn't it? No car, no job, only a temporary roof over my head, and I still refused to give in and let my dreams go away. Why? Because I believe in the power of manifestation and I knew that by keeping my faith, a way would present itself out of my increasingly precarious situation.

So, I just kept the faith, and I kept on working at my blogging business and other ventures, I kept visualizing my life at the beach, and I took action whenever I was inspired to do so.

During the months following our decision to get a divorce, none of the circumstances changed drastically. My income on the Internet did not increase significantly, I was making no progress finding a place to live that was in my price range, and every day the clock was ticking closer and closer until the day when it just wouldn't be appropriate for me to stay living at the place that we shared.

More than 2 months went by, and things were looking pretty grim. I kept waffling back and forth with my manifestation efforts, even going so far as to lower my standards and concede that maybe I was going to have to give up my dream of living near the coast - at least for the time being.

Enter the Power of the Mastermind!

I ended up on the phone with Namaste, one of my telephone mastermind partners, and fellow writer here at The 3 Alchemists. Our other partner and the other Alchemist, Mike, couldn't be on the call with us that night.

I explained my situation to Namaste and told him that despite my belief in the Law of Attraction, that I was starting to feel discouraged. I told him that even though I knew for a fact that feelings of desperation would only seal my fate, I was having a hard time keeping a positive outlook - and keeping my vibrations positive as a result.

Namaste basically told me that I needed to focus. He helped me to understand that since I was starting to feel desperate about my situation that I was retarding the manifestation process by even considering giving up on my dream of living near the coast.

His advice? Stop waffling and just focus on your desire to live near the coast!

Well, after talking to him that night, and knowing that what he said was true, I felt re-energized. I completely stopped spending any time looking into any potential living situations that were not near the coast of Florida. In fact, a few places came available that were in my price range, but they were too far from the coast, and I turned them down!

Who runs around life about to lose the very roof over their head, yet still refuses to give up???

Someone who believes in the power of manifestation, that's who!

Less than 2 weeks after that fateful call when my mastermind partner gave me a much needed kick in the pants, I found a place to live that fits every single criteria that I asked for!

And here's the best part: Tom actually had a similar house for rent directly across the street from the coast! Same price range, same basic living arrangements, and also close to local shopping and other establishments.

However, I was fairly impressed with Tom himself, and I really liked the other neighborhood, which is also where he lives. So, even though I had successfully manifested a house on the coast, I opted for the other house a mile and a half inland.  Like me, Tom is a beach junkie as well and we already have plans to go hang out at the beach together with some of the guys from my new neighborhood.

Besides, it's not like a mile and a half is very far, especially since I go almost everywhere on my bike.

The moral to the Story

FOCUS, FOCUS, FOCUS! I spent more than 2 months unsuccessfully manifesting a place to live that fit all of my criteria, yet in less than 2 weeks after deciding that I was not willing to accept defeat, I manifested a situation that fit every single one of my needs.

Never give up. Never concede your dreams. And never ever stop believing in your ability to be an all powerful Genie in your own life!

That is great news. I used to live right near there myself. I find myself greatly enjoying positive thinking. I regularly watch: the secret, what the bleep and you can heal yourself by Luise Hay. I know that I am capable of creating anything I so desire.

    Treasure,

Yes, it’s a great area, as most of the Florida coastal areas are. :) I’ve got it on my 2008 goal list to visit 20 different beaches this year, plus 10 other local attraction in Florida.

As far as movies like The Secret, etc., they are all awesome! I’ve seen The Secret like 12 times, and I just got done watching Louise Hay’s latest - that movie is great!

I am glad you agree about the movies; I watched the Secret everyday for 2 months and attracted many great things and experiences. I learned an interesting fact that doesn’t really matter but in old English the word GOAL meant GAIL. So I use the word target instead. I hope that every desire of yours comes true.

Aaron, I did exactly the same thing, moving into a very expensive suburb while I was at University and living on government assistance… right down to the street I decided I wanted to live on.

Can I also say, years later, I’ve now done the same thing to actually find a place to BUY with little deposit and all the things I wanted. Like you, it was only after I stopped listening to the people around me saying I should be looking for someplace to rent for a while first (The owner wanted my old rental back).

    Manifestation works.

PS Where’s the category for all the funny stories when it doesn’t quite work the way you intend it to? or is that just me?

    Crystal,

That’s awesome! Thank you so much for sharing your success story!

    Yes, manifestation DOES work! :)

As far as the category suggestion, no, that isn’t just you! I think that must happen to everyone, and sometimes it’s hysterical! ;)

What if you want the “house on the coast” but your partner doesn’t want that himself, or wants it in the “future?”

How to rapidly manifest when there’s that?

  9. Aaron on July 14th, 2008 3:49 pm

    Jessie,

As is often the case whenever one decides to make a positive change in life, those changes don’t resonate with everyone in that person’s circle of influence.

The trick to to focus on what YOU want, and to feel the way YOU want to feel when you get whatever it is that you are manifesting for. Don’t focus on the details or on what other people think, do, or say about what you want to manifest.

Always and ONLY focus on the end result, and things will always line up in such a way that you get what you want.

Remember: Focus on the feelings that you want to feel when you get what you want, not on the specific details. I can’t emphasize the importance of that enough.

  10. Jessie on July 14th, 2008 3:54 pm

I understand that part, but what confuses me is does my partner not get what we wants if I manifest this for ME, but in reality US?

  11. Aaron on July 14th, 2008 4:16 pm

That’s just it - no one has the ability to manifest something for someone else, which is why the term “Law of Attraction” is so aptly named.

People only ever have in their lives things that they are in resonance with, so if a partner is not in resonance with something that the other part IS in resonance with, then it’s not possible for both people to be in the same place at the same time.

Sometimes relationships change so that the resonance is the same with both people, and sometimes they don’t. Those are things that we don’t find out until we get to the end result.

How odd that I stumbled upon this. I’m looking to rent a house in Portland, OR and there has been so much competition that when we show up to look at a house, there are 5 or more other groups of people looking at the house and filling out applications. I have looked at so many houses and have filled out so many applications and no one has called us back.

This last weekend we got a call back on a cottage surrounded by trees and the owners really liked us and wanted to rent it to us but it wasn’t perfect…..my instincts were telling me no. My parter and I arranged to meet the guy again at the house….it looked like we were going to go ahead and take it because we both have been so exhausted looking for a place. I was going to ignore my insticts because I thought I was being too picky.

We showed up early and one of the neighbors ended up telling us that the house should be torn down and that it was infested with rats, unclean, raccoons have been seen going in and out of the place….basically it would have been a major disaster. The point is we almost went for it…..I was ignoring my instincts. If it haden’t been for the neighbor we would be in a horrible situation.

We are still looking and have been turning places down that do not meet our every needs. The reason I am writing this is because I am looking for feedback. I have watched the secret, what the bleep, and am currently reading, “The Astonishing Power of Emotions.” I believe in the Law of Attraction, but I keep reaching low points. It’s been a little over 3 weeks since we started looking. What are steps to keep me motivated, hopefull, and positive. It’s exhausting looking for a place. Is there such a thing as being “too picky” when it comes to the law of attraction? I know I need to focus….you focused on living on the beach. I don’t know what my main focus would be. I want an area to garden, friendly neighbors, friendly landlord, hardwood floors, big windows….I could go on and on. Any tricks to help speed the process along…or any tricks to help me visualize and stay positive? Any feedback would be helpful. Thanks so much!

Oh and by the way, I found this website by typing into google, “How to manifest a house” and this website was the first listing :)

    Melynda,

The first thing that you can do to remain positive is understand that you have the power to get what you want out of this situation. Negative emotions such as doubt and frustration creep in when we start to wonder if our “power” is going to be enough to get the job done properly and/or on time. Your faith in your abilities and your unwavering sense of expectation that you WILL get what you want are some of your most powerful weapons.

The “details” that you speak of can also be a weapon, but they are also a weapon that you can shoot yourself in the foot with. If you put out too many details, then not only will you be limiting the universe’s ability to bring you what you want, but you’ll be crippling your own belief system at the same time. The universe cannot deliver something to you that you do not believe it is possible to attain. You simply won’t be in resonance with it.

That being said, the most important thing you can do is focus on the FEELINGS that you will have when you get what you want. Don’t focus on the specific details, but rather the feelings that you will have once enough of the details have manifested. The universe only responds to feelings - NOT to thoughts - so focus on the way that you want to feel rather than on the specific details of how the universe can make you feel that way.

A simple way to come up with a list of ways that you want to feel is think of the opposite. How are the crowds and the competitive market making you feel right now? What are your feelings about the process and the circumstances overall?

Since the Law of Attraction brings us what we attract, always remember that whatever is in your life right now - positive OR negative - is there because you are attracting it. If you want to change what you are attracting, you need to change the way that you feel. :)

I wanted to tell you my update. I had read your response and made a list that day of how I want to feel in my new house. It was easy. The words were flowing onto my paper. I decided to also make a list of the details I wanted but I told myself to remain positive no matter what. I had the mind frame that if a house doesn’t feel 100% right then it’s not for me. If I don’t get accepted or get any calls back then it wasn’t meant to be. 2 days after I made the list and focused on my feelings and being positive, I went to look at another house. The minute I walked in I could feel it. This was it! But I didn’t get ahead of myself and I continued to look around. It was EVERY DETAIL that I asked for. I was freaking out in my head but trying to remain calm. Hardwood floors, big windows, friendly landlords, front and backyard with 2 big fir trees, 3 bedrms, basement, etc. It was ALL the details I asked for. What also blew my mind is that it also included things I have thought about in the past that I wanted. For example, in my apt I had really wanted lights that dimmed. I even went to a hardware store to try and install them, but it didn’t work. This house has light dimmers in every room. It’s been really hot here in Oregon with the heat wave and I can barely sleep at night. I was wishing I had an air conditioner in my room or at least that I could open up my window (ciggarette smokers always outside). The master bedroom in the house has a built in air conditioner! When I asked if we could garden in the back yard, the owner said yes and then led us into the garage and pointed towards a box full of seeds that she said we could use. I wanted trees in the backyard and there are 2 huge fir trees close enough to put a hammock which is even better than I had imagined.
Ok one last thing. Her daughters old room is painted blue with white clouds and a big tree painted on my wall. I was already going to make a bird room for my lovely bird friends. How perfect is that??? When I put out positive energy and focused on feelings, I not only got everything I wanted, but I also got an abundance of things I didn’t even focus on. It was like the universe knew what I wanted and showered me with happiness :)
